Who is responsible for your data

Self Science Institute ApS is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

For anything to do with your data - a copy of it, a correction, deletion, or a question about any of this - write to data-protection@selfscience.tech.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what you type into one of our two forms. We do not buy data about you, and we do not track you across other websites.

If you book a call, we collect:

• Your name, email, organization and country.
• Which description fits you best, and which populations your organization works with.
• The time you gave consent.

If you ask for a price estimate

The estimate funnel asks about how your practice works: what you treat, what you want to measure, how many locations, how deep the analysis should go, and your preferred subscription length. Your answers stay in your browser only, and are sent to us at the end when you enter your contact details and agree.

We then also store your name, email, organization, optional phone number, your answers, and the estimate range we showed you. We use this to prepare your written quote and to have a useful first conversation.

If you leave the funnel early and book a call instead, we keep the answers you had already given, so you don't have to repeat them.

A note on what these answers are

Our questions ask about your professional practice and the groups your organization serves. They are not questions about your own health, and we do not ask you for health information about yourself. We do not collect special categories of personal data through this website.

Our legal basis

We process your details on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us, and withdrawing it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.

If we go on to work together, we keep processing what we need in order to deliver the agreement between us.

Who else sees your data

We keep the list short and we do not sell your data to anyone. The services that process it on our behalf are:

• Our website host, which serves these pages.
• Our own Directus database, where leads are stored. It is not publicly readable.
• Calendly, which we use for booking meetings. Your name and email are passed to it so you don't have to retype them.
• Our email provider, so we can reply to you.
• Product analytics, when enabled. See the cookies section below.

Where your data is stored

Your details are stored in the EU. Our website is served from the EU, our lead database runs in the EU, and PostHog analytics runs on PostHog's European cloud.

Calendly is based outside the EU. When you choose to book a meeting, your name and email are transferred to it for that purpose, and only then. That transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in Calendly's data processing addendum.

How long we keep it

If we do not end up working together, we delete your details within 18 months of your last contact with us. If we do work together, we keep what we need for the business relationship and for as long as accounting rules require.

You can ask us to delete your details sooner, and we will.

Cookies and analytics

We use PostHog, hosted on European servers, to understand how this site is used: which pages people read, where they lose interest, and where the estimate questions become confusing. It sets cookies and records the pages and elements you interact with.

It runs only if you accept. Until you do, PostHog is not loaded at all, no cookie is set, and no event is recorded. Declining costs you nothing on this site, and you can change your mind at any time using the control below.

Strictly necessary things work regardless. While you answer the estimate questions, your answers are held in your browser's session storage so a refresh doesn't lose them. They are erased when you close the tab and never leave your device until you submit the form.

Booking a call loads Calendly's widget, which may set its own cookies at that point. That happens only when you choose to book.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your data.
• Restrict or object to how we use it.
• Send your data to you or someone else in a portable format.
• Withdraw your consent.

How to reach us, and how to complain

Write to us at data-protection@selfscience.tech and we will answer within one month.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, at datatilsynet.dk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and affects data we already hold, we contact the people concerned.
